John Craigie + Jobi Riccio

John Craigie and Jobi Riccio share the stage at Supersonic for an evening dedicated to folk and traditional American music.

John Craigie is an American singer-songwriter and storyteller active since the early noughties. Making his recording debut with Second Grade Awakening in two thousand and four, the artist has developed a style rooted in the folk tradition, blending acoustic compositions with a pronounced sense of narrative. On stage, his performances are characterised by an intimate format alternating between songs and spoken interludes, in the tradition of the modern troubadour.

The evening also welcomes Jobi Riccio, a leading figure of the new folk scene. This double bill appeals particularly to fans of finely crafted songwriting and acoustic guitars. Supersonic, a Parisian club in the twelfth arrondissement, offers direct proximity between the artists and the audience, fostering attentive listening to these repertoires focused on storytelling and instrumental simplicity.
