Overview
Rouflaquettes, double bass and harmonica: Johnny Montreuil is coming home to celebrate his new album on the stage of Le Bal Chavaux. For over ten years, Johnny and his gang have been making the sound of a proud, multicultural and slightly battered suburb ring out.
Their music starts from rockabilly and blues, crosses paths with realist chanson, the Balkans and the shadow of Johnny Cash, then always heads back to Montreuil. This is neither nostalgia nor vintage fancy dress, it is pavement poetry played loud and sung in French.
An evening to dance, sing and toast with the most Montreuil-born of rockers, in a venue just a few streets away from where it all began.
