Josef K.

Théâtre de la Tempête presents "Josef K.", a contemporary play exploring the intricacies of justice and absurdity.

This theatrical creation draws inspiration from Kafka's iconic work to plunge audiences into the bewildering world of Josef K., a man faced with an accusation whose nature remains entirely unknown to him. The resolutely contemporary staging promises intense reflection on the themes of guilt, alienation, and the quest for meaning in the face of an impenetrable system. The show is tailored for lovers of demanding theatre who are keen to explore existential questions through a powerful artistic proposal.

Théâtre de la Tempête, located in the unique setting of the Cartoucherie, provides a fitting backdrop for this kind of creation. Renowned for its commitment to author-driven theatre and innovative forms, the venue invites audiences into an immersive experience. Theatregoers can look forward to a bold interpretation and inventive scenography that highlight the psychological complexity of the main character. It is a wonderful opportunity to discover a modern reimagining of a foundational text, brought to life by a cast attentive to the nuances of the narrative.

The show is designed for an adult and mature teenage audience capable of appreciating a work that questions the human condition and the inner workings of society. The atmosphere at Théâtre de la Tempête is that of a hub for creation and sharing, where every performance serves as an invitation to discovery and exchange.
