Juliette Magnevasoa

Juliette Magnevasoa comes from Madagascar or elsewhere; she was adopted as a little girl, and this beginning of her story, like the fairy tales, opens onto the adventure of growing up. Music came to her naturally: it brings together the pieces of the Juliette Magnevasoa puzzle.

It joins her two homelands and opens them up to something broader. For almost 10 years, notably within the emblematic Basque duo Pauline & Juliette, she performed on the stages of the great West of France.

Spotted by figures ranging from Francis Cabrel to Richard Bona, by way of Gaby Moreno and Sian Pottok, she met BlackJoy & Blundetto of the label Les Rythmes Ruban in 2024, and together they released a first single, La Playa, which was well received by the critics.

This collaboration was followed by a first EP, Guitare nouée sur corps étanche, then Routines, which blends heartfelt covers with original creations. Through it, Juliette Magnevasoa sings of roots, love and the search for one's place.

She has performed this repertoire on more than 50 dates across France and Europe. 2 (awakening) is about to be released on 31 July, and a brand-new EP entitled Le cur au bout des doigts will follow in early October.

Parisian audiences are invited to discover her at an exceptional date at the Théatre de l'Archipel on 29 October, accompanied by her two siblings, Thérèse Labrousse and Marianne Aguergaray, on strings.

A performance that speaks of connection, and of the irrepressible need to shout out love in order to find one's place.
