Presented by New Morning Since 2018, GA-20 has been at the forefront of the traditional blues revival. This dynamic trio, looking backward, has long positioned itself at the crossroads where traditional blues, country and rock 'n' roll meet.

"We make records we'd like to listen to ourselves," explains guitarist Matt Stubbs. "It's our own vision of that traditional electric blues, song-focused, that we love.

" Stubbs, accompanied by guitarist and singer Cody Nilsen and drummer Josh Kiggans, strives to thrust traditional blues to the forefront of the modern "roots" music scene. "Our priority has always been history, melody and creating an atmosphere," Stubbs continues.

"Traditional country and soul have experienced enormous resurgence lately. We want to do the same for traditional blues. B. Lenoir, Howlin' Wolf, Junior Wells, Hound Dog Taylor, Earl Hooker, Johnny "Guitar" Watson and many others.

Playing with overflowing energy and wild spontaneity, GA-20 infuses timeless immediacy into each track, while developing an ever-evolving sound.

The group uses period instruments and amplifiers to achieve sonic authenticity and favors traditional recording techniques—such as playing all together live in the same room—to recreate that unique musical energy and connection.

In a short time, GA-20 has hit the top of the Billboard Blues chart three times and won the "Best Blues Band" award four times at the Boston Music Awards.
