Kelela Mizanekristos (in Amharic: ከለላ ሚዛነክርስቶስ), born on June 4, 1983, and known professionally as Kelela, is an American singer.
She debuted with the release of her mixtape Cut 4 Me in 2013. In 2015, she released Hallucinogen, an EP that addresses a romantic relationship in reverse chronological order. Her debut studio album, Take Me Apart, was released in 2017 and received critical acclaim, notably featuring in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.
