Overview
Formed in 2012 in Denver (USA), KHEMMIS has established itself as one of the leading bands of modern heavy doom metal.
Through compositions that are both elegant and intense, the quartet goes beyond the boundaries of traditional doom by blending classic heavy metal, rock and melancholic atmospheres.
With their first album Absolution, acclaimed by the specialist press, KHEMMIS drew the attention of the international metal scene.
With Hunted and then Desolation, the band confirmed its rise thanks to an epic and distinctive sound, compared to Thin Lizzy as well as Paradise Lost and Judas Priest.
Between prestigious tours and appearances at the biggest metal festivals, KHEMMIS has built a solid reputation around the world. In 2021, the band unveiled Deceiver via Nuclear Blast Records, a powerful and visceral album exploring themes of pain, hope and inner struggle.
Acclaimed by Metal Hammer, Kerrang! and even Decibel Magazine, this fourth release confirms KHEMMIS as an essential reference in contemporary metal.
