About — The artist
Khemmis is an American doom metal band from Denver, Colorado, formed in 2012. The band's music combines doom and traditional heavy metal with elements of death metal and black metal. The band released its first two studio albums, Absolution and Hunted, through the independent label 20 Buck Spin. Its third album, Desolation, along with the following mini-LP, Doomed Heavy Metal, were licensed for all territories outside North America to Nuclear Blast and co-released with 20 Buck Spin. In November 2021, the band released Deceiver, its worldwide debut on Nuclear Blast. The name is taken from an ancient city in Egypt, now known as Akhmim.
