Overview
Korn shook up the world with the release of its self-titled debut album in 1994. That record not only paved the way for a new musical genre, it also blurred the boundaries between genres, giving birth to a cultural movement of worldwide scale.
Since its formation, Korn has sold more than 40 million albums around the world, won two Grammy Awards, undertaken countless world tours and set numerous records that will probably never be broken.
Korn has never stopped pushing the limits of rock, alternative and metal, while remaining a major source of influence for legions of fans and generations of artists across the globe. Korn's influence transcends distinctions and platinum record certifications.
The band is "a true movement in a way that bands can no longer be today," according to The Ringer. It embodies a new archetype and radical innovation; its ability to transcend genres renders barriers meaningless.
