Kuleeangee

Born in the queue of the famous queer nightclub Dalston Superstore, KuleeAngee is the fruit of a meeting under the influence of tequila between Keshav Kanabar, from Glasgow, and Duncan Grant, from Edinburgh.

The two men had already crossed paths through mutual friends before finding themselves in the same band as session musicians, with a concert scheduled for the very day the United Kingdom entered lockdown.

At that moment, they were already good friends, but it took that fateful night out for them to unite their creative forces.

Within a few weeks of writing together, these soulmates gave birth to "Television" – a single from their superb first EP of 2025, "Is It Awryt" – a sensual and gritty piece that evokes collective agitation exacerbated by our addiction to social networks.

This EP propelled them to the rank of an essential band, earning them massive support from Sian Eleri on BBC Radio 1, Huw Stephens, Deb Grant, Craig Charles and Nick Grimshaw on BBC 6 Music, as well as in the "X-Posure Hot One" section of Radio X, hosted by John Kennedy and Stephanie Cheape on BBC Intro Scotland.

They were also supported by the "New In Alternative" section on Apple Music and "Fresh Finds" on Spotify, and were featured in articles in The Scotsman, Dork and DIY, while appearing in the NME 100 rankings for 2026.
