Checked on 26 October 2026.
Overview
Inspired by Argentina, this tango Carmen, even more sensual, moves to the sound of an orchestra dominated by the bandoneon*. A light lyrical version, sung in Spanish and surtitled in French, revisits the greatest arias of Bizet's opera while paying a heartfelt tribute to equally famous pieces by Piazzolla, such as Ballade pour un fou.
This South American Carmen lives in the famous La Boca district of Buenos Aires, where sailors and crooks rub shoulders. She is just as devoted to absolute freedom as her Spanish sister but, in the end, she is more compassionate towards the men she seduces and abandons, as well as towards their deceived and neglected lovers.
A complete show that combines theatre, lyrical singing, magic and dance.
*An instrument similar to the accordion.
