A light lyrical version, sung in Spanish, with French surtitles, which revisits the greatest arias from Bizet's opera while paying vibrant homage to equally famous Piazzolla tunes such as Ballade pour un fou.
This South American Carmen lives in the famous La Boca district of Buenos Aires, where sailors and thugs rub shoulders.
She is just as enamoured with absolute freedom as her Spanish sister but, ultimately, she is more compassionate towards the men she seduces and abandons, as well as towards their deceived and neglected lovers.
