A colourful adaptation of George Orwell's novel to question power and what it does to those who approach it.

« I had a dream where all animals were free. No more chains, no more barriers, no more enclosures.  » So speaks one day Old Major, a pig from what will soon become Animal Farm. The farmer is chased away, decisions are made collectively. But quickly, two other pigs battle for power… and one of them ends up taking it by force.

In the adaptation offered here for young and general audiences, a male and female narrator tell and act out this political adventure in a country kitchen setting. The table is alternately a place for assemblies and a battlefield, objects come to life and emerge from the dresser, straw bales are turned over and transformed into platforms for heated debates. A funny and biting fable that demonstrates the universal nature of the novel written in 1945 by George Orwell.
