C Jacques Tati - Orsay (L-R-22-5349) Production La Fleur du Boucan "All animals are equal… but some are more equal than others" A vividly colourful adaptation of George Orwell's novel that questions power and what it does to those who get close to it.

"I had a dream where all the animals were free. " So speaks Old Major one day, a pig on what will soon become Animal Farm. The farmer is driven out, decisions are made collectively. But soon, two other pigs fight for power… and one of them ends up seizing it by force.

In this adaptation designed for young and general audiences alike, a narrator and a female narrator tell and act out this political adventure in a farmhouse-kitchen setting.

The table becomes, by turns, a meeting place and a battlefield, objects come to life and climb out of the dresser, straw bales turn over and become platforms for fiery debates. A funny, biting fable that shows just how universal George Orwell's 1945 novel still is.
