La flûte & les oiseaux

The flute has a unique ability to evoke the breath, the movement and the freedom of birds. Through works from different eras, the students explore the many colours of this instrument and invite listeners to a musical interlude under the sign of poetry and contemplation.

SINCE TIME IMMEMORIAL, THE FLUTE AND THE BIRDS HAVE ANSWERED ONE ANOTHER.

Birdsong has inspired musicians of every era. Through baroque and contemporary works, this concert brings to light this poetic and sonic kinship, in which the flute, through the suppleness of its breath and the fineness of its timbre, becomes the mirror of the winged world.

The programme includes pieces evoking the song of the nightingale, the lightness of the swallow, the majesty of the eagle, and the murmurs of the forests. The students thus explore the expressive richness of the flute through pieces in which nature takes flight.

For several years, the Conservatoire Nadia et Lili Boulanger has maintained a close partnership with the Hôpital Bretonneau and the Hôpital Bichat.

Through concerts, educational projects and musical interventions, we share the conviction that music is a precious link, particularly for patients, bringing listening, comfort and moments of beauty to the heart of the care pathway.
