The Wedding of Alfonse

The magnificent Cirque Alfonse unveils a new creation that is tender and vibrant, blending dazzling colours, circus feats and live music, entitled « La Noce d'Alfonse  ».

We remember « Tabarnak  » in 2020 and « Animal  » in 2022. Cirque Alfonse is back with an unbridled celebration! After religion and rural life, this time it turns its attention to the institution of marriage. But more than the exchange of vows, it is the banquet and the wedding celebration that are put in the spotlight here. Between bottles of champagne, the wedding cake, the garter and the bridal bouquet, every wedding convention is revisited with derision. Carried by a boldly embraced seventies aesthetic, « La Noce d'Alfonse  » blends high-flying performances, caustic humour and music with the flavour of Québécois traditional folk, played live. The performers have fun with the crowd, provoke mishaps and turn the stage into a collective dance floor. Every evening, a daring procession unfolds a series of tableaux as acrobatic as they are romantic. The signature of Cirque Alfonse is found here: irreverence, audacity, poetry and live music. Raw energy and virtuosity without a safety net are part of the party. So dress in your finest clothes: we look forward to welcoming you to the start of the feast!
