La Promesse de l'Aube - Conservatoire Léo Delibes -Clichy La Garenne

Based on Romain Gary Adaptation and direction: Tigran Mekhitarian With: Tigran Mekhitarian, Delphine Husté, Léonard StefanicaFrom age 12 After electrifying the audience with his dazzling adaptation of Don Juan, Tigran Mekhitarian returns with a more intimate and deeply moving proposition: La Promesse de l'aube, the autobiographical masterpiece by Romain Gary.

Performed by three actors and accompanied by live music, the show tells the extraordinary destiny of a young boy to whom his mother promises an exceptional future. Through this close, all-consuming bond, built on love, hope and sacrifice, emerges the path of the man who would become one of France's greatest writers.

In a sensitive and stripped-back staging, Tigran Mekhitarian reveals a new facet of his artistic universe. The energy and fire that characterised his previous creations give way here to delicacy, musicality and emotion.

A luminous adaptation that celebrates the strength of family ties and confirms the talent of an artist whose journey the Théâtre Rutebeuf follows with delight.
