Laura Buenrostro takes the Melville on a journey between Brazil and Latin jazz. A Latin jazz singer based in Paris, Laura Buenrostro has for several years been weaving an elegant world where the great musical traditions of Latin America meet jazz improvisation.

With this concert, she offers a distinctive encounter between two of her flagship projects: Brazilian Songs and Caracola.

On one side, a heartfelt tribute to the great voices of Brazilian song (Elis Regina, Elizeth Cardoso, Leny Andrade) who left their mark on the 1950s and on Brazil's cultural history.

On the other, Caracola, her second album, in which she returns to her Latin roots through original compositions co-written with pianist Laurent de Oliveira.

Bossa nova, Latin jazz, bolero, jazz ballad, cha-cha-cha… Laura Buenrostro blends repertoire and creation in a sensitive, luminous concert, carried by the finesse of her interpretation and the richness of her influences.
