Laure Briard

Laure Briard, a singular figure on the French pop scene, returns to enchant Paris. Expect an evening where sweet melancholy and haunting melodies meet.

Laure Briard, originally from Toulouse, has established herself as a distinctive voice in French independent pop since the mid-2010s. Her musical journey is marked by a constant exploration of the boundaries between classic French chanson, 60s psychedelia, and a certain lo-fi indolence. She has managed to create a universe all her own, where introspective lyrics are set against often delicate, sometimes bolder arrangements, always with natural elegance. Her albums, such as « Un peu plus loin  » or « Coraline  », have been praised for their originality and their ability to evoke soundscapes that are both familiar and exotic, often tinged with a sweet melancholy.

Her musical style, which could be situated between psychedelic pop and indie rock, is characterised by the use of reverberated guitars, subtle synthesizers, and an airy, captivating voice. Laure Briard does not seek ostentation but favours an enveloping atmosphere and melodies that linger. She has that rare ability to transform complex emotions into seemingly simple songs, yet of a certain depth, sometimes evoking the great figures of French chanson while being part of an indie modernity.

On stage, Laure Briard is renowned for the authenticity of her performances. Far from artifice, she creates an intimate connection with her audience, carried by the expressiveness of her music. Her concerts are an opportunity to discover the richness of her arrangements and the subtlety of her compositions in a live setting, where every note and every word take on a new dimension. It is an immersive experience that invites reverie and contemplation, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

This visit to Paris, and more particularly to Les Trois Baudets, offers a precious opportunity to find the artist in a human-sized venue, conducive to listening and exchange. It is the ideal occasion to let yourself be carried away by her singular universe, to rediscover her flagship titles, and to appreciate the finesse of her writing and her interpretations. An unmissable event for lovers of quality French independent pop.
