Lauren Sanderson

From the outset, Sanderson's work has been built on contradiction: vulnerable yet direct, playful yet incisive, intimate while still uniting people.

Her early releases established her as a distinctive voice in a new generation of artists who did not wait for permission to build their careers online, pairing unfiltered lyrics with a tone that felt more like a late-night conversation than a polished pop product. That authenticity carried over into her debut album, "Midwest Kids Can Make It Big" (2020), a project that captured both the ambition and the vertigo of leaving one's hometown to aim higher. The album earned her early backing within the industry, including a first play with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, and helped establish her as an artist with a genuine vision and staying power.

Her next project, "Death of a Fantasy" (2022), marked a turning point. Where her debut was rooted in aspiration, this new era explored disillusionment, questioning the gap between what success is supposed to bring and what it actually delivers. The record widened her sonic palette, incorporating darker textures and sharper edges, while keeping her signature conversational songwriting firmly at the forefront.

During this period, Sanderson also established herself as a true live performer, headlining tours across the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, and sharing the stage with artists such as FINNEAS. She built a reputation for concerts that feel less like performances and more like moments of shared emotional release.

Today, with her new album "LAUREN" (released 29 May 2026), Sanderson enters what is arguably her most accomplished era to date.
