Les Vilaines

LES VILAINES A show by Guy and Elsa Bontempelli Starring Lucille Nemoz, Charlène Veyrunes, Charlyne Ribul Storytelling Directed by Elsa Bontempelli A little gem of a musical that evokes the world of the great Parisian revues and their backstage life. While everyone knows the sumptuous world of Paris's legendary cabarets from afar, you could never guess what goes on behind the scenes. The trio of Les Vilaines takes you through this glittering universe with humour, poetry and a touch of feminism. Elsa and Guy Bontempelli's texts are remarkably effective, delivered by three endearing and enormously talented actress-singers. The lavish costumes and the beauty of the performers don't spoil things one bit.

What the press says: LE PARISIEN Wit, humour and beauty: this trio shows you that, in the end, it is possible to have it all! LA PROVENCE They are beautiful, but that's not all! Les Vilaines (played by Margaux Heller, Lucille Nemoz, Natalia Pujszo) are far more than just beautiful! Their humour, their self-deprecation and, quite simply, their intelligence win over their audience just as much. Moreover, this show is also (and perhaps above all…) a musical show, so superb are the three singers' performances and so tasteful their harmonies. Accomplished all-rounders, they dance, they sing, they act, all against a backdrop of a well-judged feminism handled with intelligence. The 'girls' also know how to laugh at themselves, hiding behind the feathers and sequins dear to the world of music hall. They poke fun at things and talk about their 'guys', yet there is also room for a touching emotion.

Running time: 1h25. Suitable for all audiences aged 8 and over.
