Longitude Loire

Aaron, a sort of contemporary Don Quixote, has set his mind on saving the Loire, which is suffering from drought and pollution, amid a (near) general indifference. The story of this painter is also that of the river, both poetic and full of stakes. It unfolds from the source to the estuary and allows us, as we travel downstream, to grasp our relationship with the living world differently and to consider the Loire as a being in its own right. Tracing the course of the river through music: a musical thread as witness to the thread of water rising at the source… a dense, thick atmosphere illustrating the depth of the dams… and then the tumultuous course of a capricious river… the mystery of intoxication when the river meets the vineyards and their wines… the floods, shifting geometries of a nomadic horizon… and finally the power of an estuary. Cello, sounds recorded on the Loire and electronic music make this show an almost concert.
