LE THÉÂTRE MONTPARNASSE presents
A musical theatre piece written and performed by Pascal AMOYEL
Directed by Christian FROMONT
Running time: 1h20
Following the success of Le Pianiste aux 50 doigts, Le Jour où j’ai rencontré Franz Liszt and Une leçon de piano avec Chopin, Pascal Amoyel takes on a towering figure: Beethoven.
The world's most performed composer is nonetheless one of the least known. To mark the 200th anniversary of his death, Pascal Amoyel returns to the stage of the Théâtre Montparnasse to pay tribute to him.
He conducts a gripping investigation and deciphers the ultimate masterpiece for piano, the 32 Sonates, a true diary of a life.
Performed by an internationally renowned pianist and winner of a Victoire de la Musique, this show reveals the man's hidden face. How, even as life denied him joy, Beethoven created it himself in his music and gave it to humanity!
