Lucie Antunes, Mathilde Monnier - Silence

Born of the encounter between musician Lucie Antunes and choreographer Mathilde Monnier, Silence is a choreographed concert for nine performers. Music and dance dialogue around the same obsession: rhythm, as a force of transformation of body and perception.

Shamanism has long traversed Lucie Antunes' work, as both an artistic and personal source of inspiration. With Silence, she draws on this influence to explore trance through the repetition of rhythm: a pulsation that sets in, transforms and ultimately captures all attention.

In direct engagement with music, Mathilde Monnier plays with the ups and downs of rhythmic intensities to offer another experience of time, between excessive slowness and frenzied agitation.

Created this summer at the 80th edition of the Avignon Festival, Silence continues the work of Lucie Antunes, accompanied for several years by CENTQUATRE-PARIS where she is an associated artist.

For ten years, the musician has staged performances in collaboration with choreographers and artists from different fields. This taste for interdisciplinary exchange asserts itself again with Silence, the third album released on June 12 2026.
