Lucie Antunes, Mathilde Monnier - Silence

Born from the meeting of musician Lucie Antunes and choreographer Mathilde Monnier, Silence is a choreographed concert for nine performers. Music and dance enter into dialogue around a single obsession: rhythm, as a force that transforms the body and perception.

Shamanism has long run through the work of Lucie Antunes, serving as a source of inspiration that is as artistic as it is personal.

With Silence, she draws on this influence to explore trance through the repetition of rhythm: a pulse that settles in, transforms and ends up capturing all attention.

Working in direct contact with the music, Mathilde Monnier plays on the rises and falls of rhythmic intensity to offer another experience of time, somewhere between excessive slowness and frenzied agitation.

Created this summer at the 80th edition of the Festival d'Avignon, Silence continues the work of Lucie Antunes, who has been supported for several years by the CENTQUATRE-PARIS, where she is an associate artist.

For ten years, the musician has directed performances in collaboration with choreographers and artists from different fields. This taste for interdisciplinary exchange is further affirmed with Silence, her third album, released on 12 June 2026.
