Discovered with the phenomenon “Soleil Bleu”, nominated for the 2026 Victoires, this striking new figure on the French scene sets things alight with her tropical pop, which makes the body move and the mind travel. Born in Rennes to a Brazilian mother and a French father, Luiza grew up in a family where music and creativity were practised every day. There, art was lived as a way of life, and she learned to marvel at everything. After classical training at the Rennes conservatoire, she explored Brazil and its Amazon, Parisian life, a school of fine arts on Réunion, and the stages of the world wherever her path took her. She shares her inspirations with many artists, released a dub EP with Khoe Wa, has featured on several tracks (Fakear, Mahom, Flavia Coelho…), and made a memorable appearance on Taratata with Féfé, where she ended up performing songs from her own repertoire. Her unique, distinctive voice is the common thread running through all the musical patchworks of her creation. The variety of styles from one track to the next reflects the richness of a life spent travelling the world: sunny cumbia (“Demain demain”), mouth-driven baile funk rhythm (“Oxalá”), pop-maloya (“Wadidadu”), cosmic chanson (“La Capitaine”, “Fantastik”), tropical R&B (“Tous les jours”) and a Latin coup de foudre (“Chica”).

For a year now, Luiza has been getting crowds dancing all over the place. Her first album, radiant and sunny, asserts the power of gentleness and reminds us how music, when it is this sincere, fills hearts
