MAN OF MOON (10:00 PM) (Alt rock - Cosmic Pool - Glasgow, UK) Man of Moon is a Scottish duo forging a bold sound at the crossroads of psychedelic rock, krautrock, electronica, and post-punk textures.

Founded in Edinburgh in 2014 at the Jewel and Esk College, the project came to life during late-night jam sessions between Chris Bainbridge (guitar/vocals) and his then-drummer, before rapidly taking on a whole new dimension.

Chris stated that the name came to him in memory of his father: they had many conversations about space and the moon, and this imagery continues to resonate in the themes of their lyrics and the atmosphere of their music.

Over the years, the duo relocated to Glasgow and welcomed a new drummer, Iain Stewart, while continuing to deepen their sonic palette and venture into ethereal, hypnotic territory. Since their debut, Man of Moon have established themselves as an extraordinary live band.

The duo possesses an extraordinary talent for blending genres and styles, but their sound is not a hybrid: rather, it is a synthesis of their influences, a pure sonic distillation of what came before.

You can hear the hypnotic drones of Mogwai, the dynamic shifts of Radiohead, the harmonic angularity of Tool, the industrial amalgam of Nine Inch Nails, and even touches of Pink Floyd's austere, abstract lyricism. Man of Moon is so much music in a single band.
