Marie-Laure Garnier et Célia Oneto Bensa

'Horizons poétiques: Schubert, Leleu, Duparc' – Marie-Laure Garnier and Célia Oneto Bensaid Through the lieder of Franz Schubert, the mélodies of Jeanne Leleu and Henri Duparc, this programme celebrates the meeting of poetry and music.

From Schubert's Romantic impulses to the depth of Leleu's Six Sonnets de Michel-Ange, and on to Duparc's finely chiselled mélodies, it traces a journey in which love, contemplation, nature and the quest for the ideal intertwine.

'Schubert's lieder and ballads have accompanied us for several years, and today we feel a desire to delve even deeper into his universe.

We have also been fortunate enough to rediscover Jeanne Leleu thanks to the Cité des Compositrices and La Boîte à Pépites, and then to record her Six Sonnets de Michel-Ange as a world premiere in 2024.

' – Célia Oneto Bensaid THE PROGRAMME With Schubert, the voice becomes by turns narrative, confidence and inner theatre.

From Marguerite's torments at the spinning wheel to the fervour of the young nun, from the shifting sheen of the water to the fantastical shadows of the Zwerg, his lieder give body to the impulses of love, to the contemplation of nature and to the vertigo of the soul.

Jeanne Leleu's Six Sonnets de Michel-Ange, for their part, reveal a writing that is ardent and expressive, nourished by the power of the verses of the Italian master.

Rediscovered and recorded as a world premiere by the two artists in 2024, this rare cycle lets us hear a singular voice in twentieth-century French music. Henri Duparc's mélodies finally unfold their harmonic richness, their sensuality and their dramatic breath.

From the restless quest of Le Manoir de Rosemonde to the distant ideal of L'Invitation au voyage, they compose a world where dream, desire, memory and melancholy intertwine.
