Megadeth will return to France in 2027 for two exceptional concerts with Black Label Society and Testament. In January 2026, Dave Mustaine announced that Megadeth, the 17th eponymous album by his band founded in 1983, would be their last.

The countdown to extinction had begun: Megadeth then embarked on a long farewell tour. An eminent representative of thrash, and a member of the famous Big 4, Megadeth has sold over 50 million albums and converted millions of fans worldwide. Peace Sells But Who's Buying?

(ranked 8th in Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time), Rust In Peace and Countdown To Extinction, have become classics of the genre.

With Dystopia (2017), Megadeth won a Grammy Award in the Best Metal Performance category, before making a sensational entry at number one on the Billboard 200 with their latest album Megadeth.

For 20 years, Megadeth has been a staple of the Hellfest lineup (they even played two weeks in a row at the double edition in 2022). You can also relive their last concert on replay on Arte.

Next stops, March 21st at Zénith Paris - La Villette, where the band will finally return as headliners (after a sold-out Olympia in 2023), and April 8th at Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon where Dave Mustaine hadn't played since 2018.

This will be an opportunity for fans to sing along, probably for the last time, to the famous À tout le monde, à tous mes amis.

It's Testament, another thrash pioneer (already on the bill with Megadeth for the Clash of the Titans tour in 1990), who will kick off the hostilities before Black Label Society, Zakk Wylde's band, Ozzy Osbourne's loyal guitarist.
