Meryl Streek, from Westport in County Mayo, Ireland, has quickly established itself as a distinctive and punchy voice. Its musical journey is marked by a DIY approach and a determination to speak without filter on social issues. After cutting its teeth in various line-ups and exploring different facets of music, the artist chose to go solo, refining a personal style that skilfully blends the urgency of punk, the power of rock and electronic textures.

The debut album, "796", released in 2022, was praised by critics for its intensity and its politically engaged message. Tracks such as "Death to the Landlord" or "Yesterday" perfectly illustrate the ability to create dark, incisive atmospheres, carried by a voice that is alternately murmured and screamed. The album explores social and political themes, offering a scathing critique of contemporary Irish society, from the housing crisis to inequality. This authenticity and boldness have earned comparisons with artists such as IDLES or Sleaford Mods, while retaining a distinct sonic identity.

Their communicative energy and captivating stage presence guarantee total immersion for the audience. It is not merely about listening to music, but about feeling every word and every beat, in an atmosphere that is both electric and intimate.
