Overview
Mourir d'Aimer, les Amants Maudits de Mai 68 is an original musical loosely inspired by a true story that shook France in the late 1960s. Marseille, 1968. A French teacher and one of her students fall for each other amid the ferment of May '68.
A forbidden love, denounced, condemned. Between passion and freedom crushed, this tragic fate raises universal questions: women's emancipation, freedom of speech, the freedom to love.
On stage, singers, actors and dancers bring this human, musical fresco to life through meticulous staging, passionately crafted sets and costumes.
All carried by 28 original songs co-written by Fabrice Gauvin and Grégory Fostier, ranging from poignant ballads to upbeat rhythms, right through to the unforgettable cover of Charles Aznavour's Mourir d'Aimer.
After a successful tour across France, Mourir d'Aimer, les Amants Maudits de Mai 68 hits the road again for a new 2026/2027 season.
