Overview
Reading by Nicolas Maury Text by Sarah Kane Translation by Vanasay Khamphommala Duration: 1h05 'I am angry because I understand. Not because I don't understand' Sarah Kane Between convulsive poetry and clinical despair, a love song of solitude shot through with light.
Before vanishing, an anonymous figure addresses the world in prayer. She speaks of her rage, her thirst for life and truth, her quest for the absolute and for beauty.
48 Psychosis' is a poem that has since become a cult work, newly translated by Vanasay Khamphommala (L'Arche, 2024).
Carried by Nicolas Maury's performance, who steps into 'presences' here, its transformative power resonates, unsettling both language and bodies and opening up the imagination. 'It's addressed to all who are thirsty. To all those who love like that' Nicolas Maury
