Overview

Outside the Conservatoire's walls, students take over an emblematic venue of Parisian musical heritage to explore the expressive possibilities of the organ and the cello. An artistic and human experience combining musical rigour, ensemble playing and discovery of a monumental instrument in its natural environment.

Students from the organ classes of Helga Schauerte-Maubouet and the cello classes of Stephan Soeder come together for a concert built around encounter and discovery.

The programme offers a sensitive dialogue between two instruments with complementary timbres, through works spanning different periods, from the Baroque to the 20th century.

Outside the Conservatoire's walls, the students take over the Église évangélique allemande and discover the organ in its natural environment: an instrument of exceptional dimensions, whose rich timbres and sonic power invite a different way of listening and playing.

Situated in the heart of the 9th arrondissement, the Église

évangélique allemande, built in the 19th century,

is an emblematic venue of Parisian musical life. Its remarkable acoustics offer an ideal setting for this dialogue between organ and cello.

Primarily intended for third-cycle students, the project offers them a unique artistic experience, combining musical demands, autonomy, ensemble work and discovery of an instrumental and cultural heritage.

Coordination: Helga Schauerte-Maubouet and Stephan Soeder
