Punch Brothers - Unsung European Expedition

in agreement with The Team.

Punch Brothers return to Paris for a one-off concert in France at the Bataclan on 20 January 2027! To mark the release of their seventh album, The Unsung Adventures of Punch Brothers (Nonesuch Records, released 24 July 2026), Punch Brothers, the group formed in 2006 by mandolinist Chris Thile and currently comprising guitarist Chris Eldridge, bassist Paul Kowert, banjo player Noam Pikelny and violinist Brittany Haas, are back on stage for the Unsung European Expedition tour. Punch Brothers have been acclaimed by critics and won a Grammy Award for Best Folk Album for All Ashore (2018). The Times praised their work, describing it as "brilliant, bold, original and, above all, entertaining". The Financial Times notes that "the fluid way in which the five musicians move from one style to another shows how far they have moved beyond the 'progressive bluegrass' label", confirming their reputation as pioneers of contemporary acoustic music. Their latest album, Hell on Church Street (2021), is a reinterpretation of and tribute to the late Tony Rice's iconic solo album Church Street Blues. The Unsung Adventures of Punch Brothers, the group's seventh album – the first entirely instrumental one and the first to feature violinist Brittany Haas, who joined the quintet in 2023 – comprises eight new original compositions by Punch Brothers, as well as three traditional songs they have arranged.
