Overview
Per agreement with The Team. Punch Brothers return to Paris for unique France concert at Bataclan 20 January 2027! Upon seventh album The Unsung Adventures of Punch Brothers release (Nonesuch records, releasing 24 July 2026), Punch Brothers group formed in 2006 by mandolinist Chris Thile and currently reuniting guitarist Chris Eldridge, bassist Paul Kowert, banjo player Noam Pikelny and violinist Brittany Haas returns to stage for Unsung European Expedition tour.
Punch Brothers received critical praise and notably won Grammy Award for best folk album for All Ashore (2018). The Times hailed their work as 'brilliant, bold, original and above all entertaining'. Financial Times notes 'the fluid way five musicians move across musical styles shows how much they've transcended the 'progressive bluegrass' label', confirming reputation as contemporary acoustic music pioneers.
Their latest album Hell on Church Street (2021) is reinterpretation and tribute to late Tony Rice's emblematic solo album Church Street Blues.
The Unsung Adventures of Punch Brothers, the group's seventh album – first entirely instrumental and first with violinist Brittany Haas who joined quintet in 2023, includes eight new original Punch Brothers compositions and three traditional songs they've arranged.
