Overview
Two decades ago, Renan Luce, a young Breton with a finely honed pen and a mischievous melodic touch, shook up French chanson. Released in the relative anonymity of autumn 2006, the album Repenti became a genuine tidal wave within a few months.
2 million copies and earned a Disque de Diamant certification. Renan Luce's talent was then crowned with two Victoires de la Musique in 2008: Album Révélation de l'année and Artiste Révélation Scène.
Since that breakthrough, Renan Luce has never stopped exploring new territories, always favouring quality over immediacy. His career is marked by albums acclaimed by the critics: Le Clan des miros (Double Platinum), including the hit On n'est pas à une bêtise près.
D'une tonne à un tout petit poids, a more organic record recorded with the collaboration of the Swedish arranger Peter von Poehl. Or Renan Luce, a self-titled and introspective album, recorded with a symphony orchestra, revealing a more sombre and poetic facet.
Having celebrated the 20th anniversary of his first album Repenti, Renan Luce returns in 2027 with a new album and a new show.
