Come to her artists' house in Nohant, a haven of peace inhabited by innovative ideas and puppets, a passion of George and her son Maurice. On stage, four women revolve around the figure of the author, her loves, her political commitment, and the protection of living things.
This chorus masterfully brings to life the characters from her novels, dialoguing with human-sized puppets that are constructed live. Les Anges au Plafond are a benchmark in the art of puppetry.
Their signature blends a meticulous, constantly reinvented aesthetic with universal stories set to music.
Following the example of Une Antigone de papier or Le Bal Marionnettique, where crumpled paper, metal, or wood come to life, Camille Trouvé and Brice Berthoud once again promise a unique theatrical and visual experience, like a true gem.
