Orphées

Dressing freely and loving freely, breaking with convention, holding a feast: George Sand, a pioneer of feminism, defied gender norms as early as the 19th century.

Step into her artists' house in Nohant, a haven of peace inhabited by innovative ideas and puppets, the passion of George and her son Maurice. On stage, four women circle around the figure of the author, her loves, her political commitment and the protection of living things.

This chorus masterfully brings to life the characters of her novels, engaging in dialogue with life-size puppets that build themselves live. Les Anges au Plafond are a reference in the art of puppetry.

Their signature blends meticulous aesthetics, constantly reinvented, with universal stories set to music.

Much like Une Antigone de papier or Le Bal Marionnettique, where crumpled paper, metal or wood come to life, Camille Trouvé and Brice Berthoud once again promise a unique theatrical and visual experience, a true gem.
