Roots Rock Roubaix

On Saturday 10 October 2026, get ready to experience a true immersion into Sound System culture at La Condition Publique.

On Saturday 10 October 2026, La Condition Publique in Roubaix will host an evening already shaping up to be one of the major events on the roots and dub scene in France.

At a time when sound system culture is experiencing a genuine resurgence, Roots Rock Roubaix chooses to return to basics: a handcrafted sound system, deep bass, authentic artists and a shared communion around the music.

To deliver this experience, Soul Iration has called upon Firmly Rooted Soundsystem, a British collective renowned for the quality of its system and its commitment to the founding values of sound system culture.

More than just a simple sound broadcast, every session by Firmly Rooted is designed as a total immersion, where every frequency finds its place and where the bass becomes a language in its own right.

Headlining the night is an essential figure of the international scene: Aba Shanti-I. A true living legend, he will deliver an exceptional four-hour set, true to his reputation.

For over three decades, his selections, exclusive dubplates and deeply spiritual approach have made each of his appearances an event. Rare on the continent, each of his visits is eagerly awaited by dub enthusiasts from all over the world.

The evening will also welcome Martin Campbell, one of the emblematic voices of British reggae. Author of tracks that have become UK Roots classics, he will perform his songs accompanied by the power of the sound system, in a setup reminiscent of the golden age of London sessions.

To kick off the festivities, Soul Iration will take the controls with a selection built around the foundations of reggae, rocksteady, roots and dub, and will be accompanied by singer S’kaya, who is closely tied to the history of Soul Iration.

In a venue as unique as La Condition Publique, a former industrial wasteland transformed into a cultural space, all the ingredients seem to come together
