Overview
Rover takes over the stage at Krakatoa to present his indie pop-rock universe with baroque and sixties influences.
Led by singer-songwriter Rover, this musical project follows in the footsteps of independent rock and orchestral pop. Revealed to the general public in the early 2010s thanks to a self-titled debut album marked by sweeping melodies and a singular vocal range, the artist develops a stripped-back yet powerful sonic aesthetic, nurtured by the great names of Anglo-Saxon rock from past decades. On record as well as on stage, the compositions give pride of place to analog keyboards, distorted guitars, and meticulous arrangements.
On stage, Rover generally performs in a streamlined lineup, alternating between guitar and keyboards, for a direct and dynamic set. Live performances prioritize melodic efficiency and band cohesion, without superfluous artifice. This date at Krakatoa is particularly aimed at fans of melodic pop-rock and organic productions, eager to discover the stagecraft of a repertoire tailored for live performance.
