Sam 24/10 — Tess Liautaud and Her Band

SATURDAY 24 OCT The music of Tess Liautaud, a Franco-American who has become a rising star of folk and Americana in New Zealand, defies any attempt at definition.

It hangs suspended in the balance of her voice, warm and carrying raw emotion, offered with melodic grace and a good dose of country soul.

On 24 October she will be joined by her band, straight from New Zealand, including Jessie Rose Shanks (a folk musician known for her frailing banjo style), who was already in Paris for their duo tour in 2025.

This date in Paris, at Bateau El Alamein, will be the first time she presents her Americana music, a music with many influences from another era, with her band in France!

With a full band her songs take on another dimension, between solos on harmonica, banjo or guitar, and harmonies as well as moments of wisdom or 'from the road' stories slip in.

Tess Liautaud and her band have just returned from a long tour of Sweden, which will lend a particular energy to the evening, which promises to be electric on the magnificent Bateau El Alamein, swinging between dreamy ballads and country twang, and above all always overflowing with heart!
