Shrek LE Musical

Directed by Philippe HERSENA. For its 25th anniversary, Shrek is coming to Paris! The most famous of ogres becomes the hero of a family musical comedy that sweeps young and old into a hilarious world of pop rock, soul and funk. After playing to sold-out houses on Broadway, Shrek LE Musical brings together at the Folies Bergère all the larger-than-life characters from the cult animated film by DreamWorks Animation studios, live on stage, in a parody of fairy tales with hilarious dialogue. This event show is adapted and directed by Philippe Hersen (Flashdance, Madagascar, Charlie et la chocolaterie, Priscilla folle du désert…).

The story: once upon a time, in a very distant swamp, lived an ogre named Shrek, whose precious solitude is shattered by an invasion of fairy-tale characters, banished from their kingdom by the tyrannical Lord Farquaad. In exchange for evicting his ‘enchanted’ squatters, Farquaad asks Shrek, accompanied by a very chatty donkey, to rescue Princess Fiona, held prisoner by a dragon, and bring her back for the sole purpose of marrying her and becoming king! But the princess is hiding a terrifying secret that will draw Shrek and the donkey into a thrilling adventure…

Running time: 100 minutes. Suitable for all audiences. From age 3 (TYA version, theatre for young adults).
