Overview
Tec-Tec was born from the desire to play and to party with children and their parents. Inspired by the tropicalist movement that emerged in Brazil in 1967, Compagnie Blah Blah Blah devised this participatory concert around live, free-spirited music.
The three musicians of Compagnie Blah Blah Blah do not envisage music on their own.
They surround themselves with some twenty sound structures designed by Compagnie Toutanios and invite the audience to play them as a quartet, that is, four-and-eighty potential musicians, guided by backing tracks of drum machines and samplers. Their motto?
Openness, diversity and freedom. Their wish? To steer children towards a bold and festive blend of musical cultures, and to give them a taste for collective practice. Their mentors?
Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil and Gal Costa, who, with tropicália, defied the Brazilian dictatorship at the end of the 1960s by fusing popular music, rock and the avant-garde.
Cast: Gabriel Fabing, composition, multi-instruments; Joël Lattanzio, composition, multi-instruments; Manuel Etienne, composition, multi-instruments. Blah Blah Blah Cie, Compagnie Titanos, sets, sound devices
