Overview
Le Jazz à la Barre – Sextet.
At Melville, jazz is sometimes played well away from the courtroom! This singular sextet brings together five lawyers who are passionate about music and one professional saxophonist, all united by a shared love of swing, improvisation and the pleasure of sharing the stage. Trading their case files for sheet music for an evening, these musicians let their worlds meet around a warm, generous jazz repertoire in which camaraderie, rhythm and spontaneity take centre stage. At the crossroads of rigour and freedom, the sextet shows that jazz and the art of the Palsi have more than one thing in common: a sense of listening, the art of improvisation and the talent for persuading… or rather, for seducing! An evening full of swing, energy and good humour!
Elie Kleiman: guitar Eric Dezeuze: drums Jean-Pierre Le Padellec: sax Benoït Zagdoun: piano Karen Laik: vocals Momo Habib: bass
