Overview
Tout Contre la Terre Camille meets Augustin, her very first love, at 15. When she moves in with him on the farm where he raises pigs, she discovers that the life of a farmer is anything but peaceful. Caught between working in the fields, the daily care of the animals, unforeseen health or mechanical issues, and a difficult economic context, the couple is suffocated. Very quickly, they are buried under debt. Exhausted by this unbearable daily life and the lack of help, Augustin, aged 31, takes his own life. With Antoine Jeandy, a journalist, Camille testifies to this misery that has gripped the countryside to the point of killing its sons. How could a passionate and loving farmer have come to this? Are there culprits who pushed him to suicide?
