La petite fille aux allumettes

A show inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's tale, presented at the Théâtre Madeleine-Renaud in Taverny, with Vec, Lilly Caruso, Marlène Connan, Alexandre Faitrouni and Maxime Guerville.

The show takes up Hans Christian Andersen's tale, published in 1845, which follows a little girl selling matches on an icy street on New Year's Eve. The story sets the child's destitution against the warmth of the houses she watches from outside, and it is this tension between deprivation and reverie that gives the tale its structure.

On stage, the cast brings together Vec, Lilly Caruso, Marlène Connan, Alexandre Faitrouni and Maxime Guerville, around this poetic and dark text. The tone remains that of the tale, with its winter images and visions, carried by the performances and the staging of the play.

The Théâtre Madeleine-Renaud is located in the Parc François Mitterrand, in Taverny, in the Val-d'Oise, and hosts theatre shows. The play is aimed at a family and adult audience drawn to classic tales reimagined for the stage.
