Any resemblance to existing persons or those who have existed would not be coincidental… Drawing inspiration from emblematic figures such as Jeanne d’Arc, Henri IV, Lully, Napoléon, Edith Piaf, Charles de Gaulle, or others less illustrious, Patrice Thibaud reinterprets the History of France. Almost without a word, on a visual score accompanied by live sound effects, he casts an offbeat, burlesque, and poetic gaze upon these colourful characters. Accompanied on stage by dancer Fran Espinosa, and directed by actor Jean-Marc Bihour (with whom he co-directed Fair-Play and Franito), Patrice Thibaud promises both young and old a hilarious revisit of History.
