Overview
Vanille invites us to open our eyes and perceive light, even where shadow lingers. For her third album, she returns to essentials, between pure emotion and the magic of the moment.
Her solar pop blends French song, Latin rhythms, African blues, and bossa nova, inspired equally by Brel, Barbara, Souchon and by Caetano Veloso, João Gilberto, and Seu Jorge.
With Alex (Synapson), she creates an organic and luminous sound, where voice-guitar and electronic textures unite naturally. Collaborations with Flavia Coelho, Vincha, Wladimir Pariente, and Philippe Baden enrich a sensitive, vibrant, and embodied album.
"Regarde", "Balance", "Ce n'est que de l'eau" (It's Only Water), and "Liens du cœur" (Heartstrings) form a bath of light and hope, carried by a delicate, airy, and profoundly human voice.
