Vendredi sur Mer + Waterlily

From soft and melancholic pop to raw, heartfelt songs, Vendredi sur Mer and Waterlily invite you into an intimate, poetic, and vibrant universe.

Vendredi sur Mer has largely contributed to shaping a new French-language pop, recognisable by the alchemy between her soft voice and captivating melodies.

With melancholy and sincerity, she evokes her desires as well as her flaws, and constantly surprises us by drawing us into a unique universe with each of her projects.

Her first album, Premiers émois (2019), captured the innocence of adolescence through a spoken-sung style that has become her signature. With Métamorphose (2022), she explored rawer sounds, notably inspired by techno.

Her latest album, Malabar Princess (2025), marks a return to landscapes dear to her – the mountains – in a work nourished by poetry and doubts, reflecting an artist in search of authenticity.

Opening the show is Waterlily, a young singer-songwriter who performs French songs with pop/folk sounds. When she sings, Waterlily projects her refuge; it is there that she writes about others, the world, love, and its colours.

Her intimate and raw universe borrows as much from Pomme and Emilie Simon as from Boris Vian and Michel Gondry. If her stomach knots, if flowers burn, or if the inner octopus stirs, Waterlily will write it in her songs like a personal diary.
