WUCAN + Holystone

For more than ten years, WUCAN has established itself as one of the most distinctive bands on the European heavy rock scene.

Led by multi-instrumentalist Francis Tobolsky, the German quartet builds a world where 70s hard rock, progressive rock, krautrock, heavy metal and psychedelia meet with an instantly recognisable personality.

Carried by Francis's powerful voice, her flute and her theremin, WUCAN blends the legacies of Rainbow, Black Sabbath and East German rock with a resolutely modern approach.

An identity forged across the albums Sow The Wind, Reap The Storm and Heretic Tongues, which have earned them a solid reputation on European stages. In 2025, the band takes a new step forward with Axioms, a fourth album that further broadens their musical spectrum.

Male and female vocals intertwine over massive riffs, accompanied by dark, ceremonial staging that gives their shows a ritualistic dimension.

After East of the Sun, West of the Moon in 2024, HOLYSTONE returns with Accepting Omega, a darker, heavier second album, recorded notably with Jack Endino in Seattle and Dave Catching at Rancho de la Luna.

The band has already shared the bill with Brant Bjork Trio, Yawning Man and Witchskull.
