Overview
Youngblood Brass Band breaks with convention through an ecstatic, raucous and incendiary energy, taking the form of a New Orleans brass band and turning it into a hip-hop juggernaut with punk undertones, overflowing with groove and determination.
This ten-piece ensemble, formed in Wisconsin (USA), has been pushing boundaries since 2000 by fusing the tradition of marching bands with the repertoire of the funk, soul and hip-hop galaxy.
Able to collaborate with Talib Kweli as well as to set the most discerning festivals alight (Glastonbury, Roskilde, Pukkelpop), this collective reconciles brass enthusiasts and b-boys around a universal groove.
Far from clichés, Youngblood Brass Band delivers music that is intense, intelligent and resolutely authentic. On stage, they put on a physical and generous show that asks only one thing of the audience: a rigorous and liberating dance.
