Despised Icon + Carnifex + Suffocation

DESPISED ICON Founded in 2002, the Montreal-based band Despised Icon, pioneers of deathcore, return with their seventh studio album, *Shadow Work*. This album marks a significant milestone for a band whose core lineup has remained virtually unchanged since its inception, allowing them to stay true to the sound and spirit they helped define. Lyrically, Shadow Work explores themes of resilience and inner healing, drawing inspiration from the psychological process of confronting and integrating one's darker aspects. It is a deeply introspective album that reflects both personal growth and the turbulence of the world around us. The first opus in six years, this album is Despised Icon's most accomplished and dynamic work to date, combining relentless speed, crushing grooves, and morbid melodies, while remaining faithful to their characteristic blend of extreme death metal and raw hardcore.

CARNIFEX Fueled by nightmares and the throbbing pulse of pragmatic terror, CARNIFEX is back with their ninth studio album, Necromanteum, set to be released this autumn via Nuclear Blast Records. This album is not short on new blood, both in the sense that it remains resolutely progressive, but also thanks to the recent arrival of guitarist and composer Neal Tiemann as a full member. After more than 18 years of existence, CARNIFEX continues to experiment with new musical arrangements and add a unique atmosphere to their characteristic deathcore style. At the time of recording, these orchestrations were set to music by film composer Spencer Creaghan. CARNIFEX fans who enjoy seeing the band live will not be disappointed, as many exciting tours are planned for the rest of 2023 and 2024, with the new track “Torn In Two” already creating a buzz during the band's last tour.
