ASAP Rocky (stylised A$AP Rocky, sometimes ASVP Rocky), pronounced /ˈeɪsæp ˈrɑki/, real name Rakim Mayers, is an American rapper, singer, singer-songwriter, producer, director and actor, born on 3 October 1988 in New York. He is a member of the New York hip-hop collective A$AP Mob, from which he takes his nickname. He released his first mixtape, Live. Love. A$AP, in 2011. Its success allowed him to sign with the labels Sony Music Entertainment, RCA Records and Polo Grounds Music. His first studio album, Long. Live. ASAP, released in 2013, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. His second album, At. Long. Last. ASAP, was released in 2015. His third album, Testing, was released in 2018. Don't Be Dumb is his fourth album, released on 16 January 2026 via AWGE / A$AP Worldwide and RCA Records, marking his return after nearly eight years since Testing.
Aside from his rapping career, he has directed several music videos, notably for himself, other members of A$AP Mob and Danny Brown. He is also a producer, under the pseudonym Lord Flacko.
