Charles Aznavour (Armenian: Շահնուր Վաղինակ Ազնավուրյան, Shahnour Vighinak Aznavourian), born May 22, 1924 in Paris and died October 1, 2018 in Mouriès, was a Franco-Armenian singer-songwriter, actor, and writer.
During his music career that began in the 1940s, he recorded nearly thirteen hundred songs performed in several languages and wrote or co-wrote over one thousand songs, either for himself or other artists.
Through his artistic reach, he is one of the most famous French singers outside the French-speaking world.
Alongside his music career, Charles Aznavour pursued an acting career, appearing in sixty-three feature films and television films.
