Dub Pistols is a London-based dub/big beat group founded in 1996 by Barry Ashworth. He met John King (guitarist), Jason O'Bryan (bassist), T.K. Lawrence (vocals), Jack Cowens (drums), and Steeve Hunt (mixing desk). The group is known for numerous collaborations with singer-songwriters such as Terry Hall (from The Specials), James Dewes Sheffield (JMS), and Rodney P.
The group's musical style evolves in several directions: dub, hip-hop, big beat, ska, reggae, and even punk. This style can vary from one album to another, or from one song to another.
Many of Dub Pistols' songs have been used for video games such as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (Cyclone), Final Fight: Streetwise, Dance Dance Revolution X, and many more.
